Review documents without leaving Aspect
You can now review a document at the page or passage where a change is needed, then keep the conversation attached to that location. You also get a more comfortable viewing experience on smaller screens and more control over duplicate uploads.
New features
- Comment directly on documents. You can now leave feedback on a specific page, highlight a passage, or draw an annotation on a PDF or supported document preview. When you open a comment, Aspect takes you back to the relevant location so you can review the feedback in context.
- Preview SVG artwork. You can now open SVG artwork directly in Aspect and review it alongside your other media. You no longer need to leave your library just to see a preview of a supported SVG file.
- Decide what happens to duplicate uploads. You can now decide what happens when an upload contains names that already exist in the destination. Choose Keep Both to preserve both files, Replace to update the existing item, or Skip to leave it unchanged.
Improvements
- A more usable mobile web app. You can now use menus and pickers more comfortably on a phone or other small screen. Your asset panels move below the viewer when space is limited, and you can resize them to give your media or its details more room.
- Do more from the project sidebar. You can now rename items and open their actions directly from the project sidebar. You can also search the sidebar’s collections and share links, and choose which sections you want to keep visible.
- Uploads adapt to your connection. Your uploads now adjust to your connection and recover automatically from more temporary connection errors. This helps your transfers keep moving when a connection becomes unreliable.
- Manage projects and workspaces from Settings. You can now find project and workspace deletion controls in their Settings pages. If you have the required access, you can manage those administrative actions from the same place as the rest of your project or workspace settings.
Bug fixes
- Transparency stays transparent. Your image and SVG previews now preserve transparent backgrounds. You can review artwork with transparency intact instead of seeing it flattened against a solid background.
- More dependable document viewing and comments. You can now open PDFs in the desktop app more reliably and place your cursor in comment fields across more browsers. These fixes address rendering compatibility and focus problems that could interrupt your review.
- Video controls work better on phones. You can now use playback controls and touch interactions more reliably in the mobile web video viewer. Your phone’s viewer now handles more of the gestures you use during everyday review.
