## New features

- **Install the new Premiere Pro panel.** You can install the new Aspect panel from the desktop app’s Settings and browse, search, and review your media inside Premiere Pro 26 or later. Creative Cloud must be installed. Once the panel is installed, Aspect keeps it updated alongside the desktop app.

- **Bring Aspect media straight into a Premiere bin.** Use **Import to bin** to bring selected assets into your current bin from an Aspect mount, or download originals to a folder you choose and import them when the download finishes. Mounted imports use the latest file versions and need the desktop app signed into the same Aspect account. Downloads that are still receiving data also keep reporting progress on slow connections.

- **Export your sequence directly to Aspect.** You can export an entire Premiere sequence or its marked In-to-Out range to an Aspect folder, using an available Premiere export preset. Link the sequence to an existing asset to add later exports as new versions, and choose whether to keep a local copy.

- **Bring review comments into your Premiere timeline.** When you link a sequence to an Aspect asset, you can show its open top-level review comments as timeline markers and keep those markers updated as feedback changes. You can also include your sequence markers as comments when exporting to Aspect, with timing adjusted when you export an In-to-Out range.

- **Follow a copy job through the API.** When your integration starts a background copy, you can now use its dedicated status endpoint to follow progress and read the outcome. If the job fails, the response includes a clear error field instead of treating the failure as a completed copy result.

## Improvements

- **Choose a mode for faster upload connections.** In the desktop app or a browser on your computer, you can turn on **Fast connection mode** in upload settings for internet connections faster than 1 Gbps. The standard setting uses fewer parallel upload requests, and you can switch modes while uploads are running.

- **Keep track of phone uploads as you browse.** While files are queued or uploading in your phone browser, the upload progress and reminder to keep the page open now follow you across Aspect pages, including shared links. The reminder stays visible until the active uploads finish, so moving to another folder does not hide it.

- **Get smaller uploads ready alongside long videos.** Your images, vector artwork, and audio files can continue preparing while longer videos are still processing. Video indexing also avoids a stall that could hold up processing progress during bursts of video uploads. Audio playback and waveforms are prepared together, helping keep the recording ready for review.

- **Browse search results as they arrive.** Your [search results](https://aspect.inc/docs/asset-intelligence/ai-search) now load in smaller batches as you browse. If a later batch fails to load, the files already on screen stay available while Aspect retries, so you can keep working with the results you have.

- **Follow deep folder paths in a smaller window.** Long paths now fold their parent folders into a menu as the window narrows, leaving more room for the folder or file you are viewing. You can open the menu to return to a parent folder, and use the keyboard to move through clickable path segments.

- **Get practical help with your editing setup.** New guides show you how to [match existing media paths](https://aspect.inc/docs/workflows/match-media-paths) and [work from shared proxies](https://aspect.inc/docs/workflows/proxy-based-workflows) while your camera originals download for offline access. You can also open YouTube tutorials directly from the documentation sidebar.

- **Build integrations with clearer API guidance.** The [API reference](https://aspect.inc/docs/api-reference/index) now gives more precise descriptions for downloads, transcript timing, filters, and comment annotations. The error guide explains common failed responses, and unexpected server errors include a request ID you can share with support.

## Bug fixes

- **Find the right files with folders and filters.** Search now applies your chosen folder and metadata filters before selecting results, correcting cases where matching files were missed. Filename and filter-only searches also leave out trashed files and older versions in a version stack, so the results stay focused on your current library.

- **Prepare playback for videos with unusual frame-rate data.** Some variable-frame-rate videos, including affected iPhone recordings, can now finish preparing for playback instead of getting stuck during processing. The fix handles incorrect frame-rate information that could prevent a usable playback copy from being produced.

- **See the correct path in a shared file.** Files opened from a shared collection now show the path within that collection, without unrelated project folders. Direct file shares also avoid repeating the file name, and shared folders and canvases show their root only once.

- **Keep files and folders usable after a move.** On your Mac’s standard Aspect mount, folders no longer appear empty after you extract an archive or replace a folder with a renamed copy. Items moved by a teammate open at their new location. If your changes are still uploading when a teammate moves a file, the standard mount also keeps those pending edits attached to the asset.

- **Catch invalid custom metadata choices.** When an integration creates or updates a custom field, choices are now accepted only for single-select and multi-select fields. Invalid choices receive a clear error, including an item-level failure when you submit a batch through a connected AI tool.
