## New features

- **Search in your own words.** You can now describe what you want to find across visual content, spoken dialogue, and filenames. Aspect turns your request into a search that combines the relevant sources, and you can adjust its filters and search controls when you want to narrow the results.
- **Jump to the matching moment.** You can now see the passages and moments that explain a search result, then jump to the relevant point in a video or audio file. Transcript matches include excerpts, so you can judge a result before listening through the whole recording.
- **Pin files and folders for offline access.** You can now choose which files and folders stay downloaded on desktop, track their progress, and manage pinned storage separately from the ordinary cache. Once your files finish downloading, you can still access them when you start the app without an internet connection. You can pin items from Finder on macOS, keep both a folder and selected items inside it pinned, and browse your pinned content with recognizable previews and icons.
- **Choose where desktop downloads go.** You can now select a default folder for downloads in the desktop app instead of always using your system Downloads folder. You can change that location later or reset it to the default when your workflow changes.
- **Move your desktop cache.** You can now move Aspect’s local cache to another location, such as a drive with more available space. You can follow the relocation process from the desktop settings rather than managing the cache files yourself.
- **Create people profiles with reference images.** You can now create named people profiles and add reference photos, including a crop around the face you want to use. You can edit those references as your library of people grows.

## Improvements

- **More useful short filename searches.** You can now get more relevant filename results when you enter a short query. The matching rules are less likely to surface weak matches simply because their names share a few characters.
- **Preview more camera media.** You can now work with LRF video files and get more reliable previews from HEIF images. These changes help you review more camera-generated material directly in your library.

## Bug fixes

- **More dependable pinned content.** Your pinned content stays in sync more reliably after renames, Trash restores, version changes, and app restarts. You also get more consistent folder listings when moving between online and offline work, including in large pinned folder trees.
- **Faster access to large mounted folders.** You can now open large folders on your mounted drive with less waiting. Your cached file information is also restored more reliably when the drive service restarts.
- **Fullscreen video on your phone.** You can now enter and use fullscreen video more reliably in the mobile web app. The fix makes it easier to focus on the video without the surrounding page getting in the way.
