When LucidLink remains the right choice
LucidLink's current platform provides an on-demand shared filespace, local caching, file pinning, and app-aware file locking, with dedicated support identified for Premiere Pro and Windows. Run a pilot that ends with a finished handoff
Choose a project that reflects your weekly workflow, including the camera originals, proxies, audio, graphics, and timelines your editors normally use. Keep the existing production available while you try the replacement, and use the same project in each service so you can compare the results.- Open unfamiliar media. Record the delay before a clip becomes usable with an empty cache, then repeat after caching or synchronization. Include scrubbing and the number of simultaneous streams your normal timeline uses.
- Exercise collaboration. Have two editors open the intended project arrangement, save changes, and hand ownership back. Check the editing application's locking or change-sharing behavior and confirm that media paths stay valid.
- Complete the producer's task. Find an older shot, identify the right original, and get it into the edit. Then share a revised cut and confirm that feedback remains attached to the intended version.
